Laser Cutting in Plywood and Plastics
A 100 W laser cutter with a working area of 130 × 90 cm allows precise cutting of plastics up to 15 mm thick. Laser cutting of acrylic provides exceptional accuracy, including irregular shapes and series of repeatable parts with holes or specific dimensions.
The most commonly cut materials include acrylic, plexiglass, and PET, as well as moisture-resistant plywood, cork, and priplak.
This technique opens up a wide range of possibilities for advertising and decorative products. Interestingly, we also cut printed plastics with UV-cured graphics, allowing the creation of unique designs cut to custom shapes, with holes or prepared for the installation of additional components if required.
For all applications, the precision of laser cutting is outstanding. That is why laser cutting of plexiglass is ideal wherever milling is less desirable. Additionally, the edges of laser-cut acrylic are automatically polished (glossy), enhancing the quality of the finished piece and making it suitable for decorative products such as statuettes, medals, frameless acrylic prints, wall clocks with printed graphics, and many others.
To selectively illuminate a chosen part of the plexiglass, it can be laser-engraved beforehand. This modern technique is perfect for creating illuminated signage such as building numbers. With RGB LED backlighting, it is even possible to achieve lighting in any color — or with dynamically changing shades.
