Advertising totems and pylons

Advertising totem: An advertising totem is a freestanding advertising structure, most often in the form of a vertical, slender post or column. It usually has a distinctive, aesthetic design and is used to display a company logo, advertising slogan or visual information. Totems are often illuminated, which increases their visibility after dark, and they can be made from various materials such as aluminium, steel, glass or composites.

Typical features of an advertising totem:

• Slender, elegant structure
• Height adapted to the location (usually from 2 to 6 metres)
• LED or neon illumination
• Information and identification function
• Often installed at entrances to companies, shopping centres and petrol stations

Advertising pylon: An advertising pylon is a larger and more substantial structure that is often used to mark the location of several companies at the same time, for example within a shopping centre or industrial park. Pylons are taller than totems (sometimes over ten metres high), and their main purpose is to attract attention from a distance — for example from a busy road.

Typical features of an advertising pylon:

• Larger dimensions and a more substantial structure
• Ability to display several advertisements at the same time (e.g. logos of different tenants)
• Weather-resistant construction
• Height of more than 10 metres
• Visibility from a long distance
